Last week a Wall of Fame has been opened in the Limeshales (sports center) in my hometown Alphen aan den Rijn. The Wall shows more than 70 Alphense athletes who have won a bronze, silver or gold medal at National, Euorpean or World Championships since 1918 or have participated at the Olympics or Paralympics.
My picture is hanging near the restaurant. Martin Verkerk (tennis), Henk Angenent (ice skating), Monique Kalkman (tennis) and Tim and Tom Coronel (car racing) are some of the other

Allthough the ice isn't as slippery as last year, due to the snow, i…

Greetings,
I had a lovely fall hiatus in Cape Cod. One 70 degree day, Mom and I drove to Nashoba Winery and Bolton Orchards. Often Maggie and I hit the beach to sit and chill. I have seen some great flicks at Cape Cinema including Coco Before Chanel and Julia Julie. It was a pretty mild season so far but alas, time to head to Bonaire.
Lots of news on island. We have new air options coming up for peak season. I have a new oceanfront luxury villa as well. The big news for families is that I have…

The summer is of course nice in California, but better is the fall - less crowds and still nice temperatures (not that burning heat) and rather warm water. The trade winds will drop soon though and we'll have to wait for the clearing winds ... which I'm not a big fan of because the water is dirty after the rainfalls and it's not recommended to go in for at least 3 days.
